My last story for today. I was working on fixing a drinking fountain last year. I saw two shoes standing by me. I looked up and it was Alan. After he asked me all about what I was doing he just stood there watching me. So I said hey can you hold this screwdriver for me. He was sooo proud holding that as older kids walked by. Never needed that screwdriver to fix that drinking fountain but I just pretended to tighten something with it and Alan headed back to class with a smile on his face that day. And a smile on mine too.
Chad you are so awesome for those kids. Most school maintenance people are not like you. Our kids love you. Thanks for all you do and for what a special thing you did for Alan Jr Obviously a small think for you but a big thing for him!
I still remember the first day Alan came to school wearing his new glasses. He came in grinning from ear to ear saying “look at my new glasses”and I said I see them and you look so handsome. He always had a smile and made everyone happier just being around him.
